Everyone Pays the Price: summary & reation

Hadley McGraw was a good and obedient girl, also good-looking and excellent at study. However, she was attracted by an opposite type of boy, Martin who is a gang member. After falling in love with him, she left her family and lost her friends; she even drop out from school in order to stay with her boyfriend. Finally, she became one of the gang members and indulged herself with her boyfriend: taking drugs all day and all night, commiting crimes together and son on. Althought she stayed with him all day, she still felt uneasy all the time. This relationship has been continuing three and a half of year, her boyfriend wasn't always being with her, he had spent one third time staying in jail. The breaking point was after an accident, which let the girl decide to ban on the right track. She went to college and once again became a good girl; however, she was not the original girl any more. Even though she went back to her own life, she still couldn't forget the boy. Missing him and worring about him for she still loved him.
This story really impressed me because I also have a brother who was a gang member before. So some sentences in the story let me think a lot. "Gang membership of a loved one affects everyone around that person"and "I live each in fear and grief" thiese two sentences let me think of my mom' situation when my brother was still a gang member. She couldn't even sleep all night without thinking where was he or was he safe now. Once a family has a gang member, it will truely ruin the whole family. Your worries will never stop until you know he is out of that environment  forever. My mom is so exhausted to try to let him leave that place. So I think I am a little bit familiar with the feelings. This story is talking about a relationship between a boy and a girl who are supposed not fit each other. I haven't fallen in love with someone before, so I don't know what it feel like. I think to maintain a relationship need both of them work together, but in the article the boy seems didn't care so much about her and treated her coldly. So I don't think they should continue this relationship any more ; this isn't that I think they should not get together because of secular thoughts. If she could get her boyfriend out of that mess because of the power of love, I think that is an amazing thing.
